Long Time No See: The Ninja Returns!
Gouda stands, battered but undefeated. Our assault on the mouse capital has heated up, and deep in the bowels of the earth, our heroic mushies have encountered a sneaky foe. Tune in to this episode of Ophi’s Quest for “Ninjas in the dark!”
Mush. Mush mush, mush mush mu, mush.
You know, Speere, he has a point. You have the full training, gear, and abilities to overcome this trial. Thank you Steve.
Ah yes, truly is it only Speere that needed reassuring words. The world is forever glad that you were here to comfort your truest friend. The two heroes of sin, out to conquer these dark tunnels. And of course, the other mushminion, whom we shall not name, is there for the ride.
Go Steve! This is your chance for glory! Keep up the offense to give Speere and the other one a chance to take the offensive. The ninja was pathetic last time, and if past performance indicates future expectations, we will easily win and move on.
What- When did the cooldown for teleport become like half a second? That’s a level 7 perk for Shinobi! Hells, even if we cheat, and use an elf aetheromancer cross-class, the earliest a hero could get it is level 5!
Look at you, in the mud where you belong. And here goes the last one!
The towering mouse lurches forward in a dash. Her twice forged blades are already raised to put a final end to the slime hero. Moments linger in Speere’s young eyes, as the blades lower upon him like a guillotine.
Argh, my eyes! Damn it, dim the screen, dim it!
What the fuck?!
Speere shudders, almost losing control of his height. Akin to the pain of a muscle overused, his gooey essence seems to be watered down. The natural light of his form dims in wake of such a powerful blast, the kind never once before released.
Uh, I’m no mage, I’ll be the first to admit, but I don’t think that’s how magic works?
Nevermind, apparently I’m wrong. Kamusha, pass your ammo to Speere. Steve, get back in there! Lock her into melee until Speere is done casting!
Right! I forgot Steve had an armour strip ability. Good call Steve! Lowering defenses is always important!
I need to move-
What the-?! Paralysis?!
With Lust damage over time?
With a slow, almost ratcheting turn, the Ninja turned to face the small bastard literally eating her ass.
What the hell are you?
Oh right! They brought a leafling with them! Damn, I am going to assume this was intentional 5D chess from our cute mushies. Seriously tho, where did it come from?
Oh it was invisible! That makes sense. I should probably get some detection going so I can keep track of stealth units. Good Job Speere! Keep up with the buff spells, and you’ll be at high level like Sapphire in no time!
Glue isn’t a part of any of these unit’s equipment load guys. Speere has no pockets and the two mushminions have to carry their own weapons. Still, I think basilisk attacks are enough of a debuff to do the same thing. Sadly Kamusha is currently too damaged to get up; But I think Steve may have a plan.
From the shadows, using the secret teachings of the shrooms of old, Steve surges through the air. Diving in picture perfect form, wielding daggers of eastern-make instead of the crab claws of tradition, Steve uses Stripping Blow.
As scraps of cloth float to the ground, the Ninja is brought to the edge of defeat. Powerless in the face of full paralysis, utterly extreme lust damage, and complete destruction of all her armor, the Ninja can do nothing as the Mushminions claim her in the name of Ophi and the Heart of Sin.
Wait a moment! Don’t move on until I find the victory music and record player. Yes I know it’s practically medieval to use vinyl for soundtracks, but the quality is better.
I suppose I can delay it until the end of the assault. But, I don’t have many jobs, and one of them is to play the sound effects!
Fine, be like that. No Sound effects.
Victory! And there would have been a sound effect here!
Steve has gained EXP and leveled up!
Kamusha has gained EXP and leveled up!
Speere has gained EXP and leveled up!
You have gained the Ninja as a Follower! She is collared and enslaved to sin, and will never act against our will!
Kamusha and Speere take the lead. Steve, stay back to watch for an ambush. As a rogue-type hero, you have the best chance of catching an ambush from behind, and we really don’t want the others to take even more damage. Even Mushminion regeneration has a limit.
Well, yes I suppose you could just wait until you fully regenerate, but the rest of the assault is happening now, and it would be best if we didn’t wait too long. Either way, these are some annoyingly long tunnels, so it will be a while before we find the ladder up to the surface. What do you think, Steve?
Good job learning those diving techniques, I am proud of you kid.
Mush mush mush.
Ah, the ladder. Good job team, let’s see what we’ve won!
Our wonderful Steve and Speere have made it into Gouda! They won their battle, which is really good because I don’t think Hana could’ve made it underground in time to help them.
Oh, wow! Look at all the Overlord relics that Bleu has been hoarding! A hunter’s weapon, the mask of the dead, some egg and the shield of three! Too bad most of them aren’t genuine artifacts of sin.
Next in the battle queue, we got the battle with Bleu as fought by Ophi. Also Mordred, but it’s personal for Ophelia. How many of you remembered that that was her full name? I bet none of you did.
So please send in your suggestions for the next fight! I’ll make sure Ophi gets them.
Just… no more cheat codes please… some things are best left forgotten…
Thank you, and a special thank you to our patreons. Without your generous aid, we would have lost the way long ago. And don’t forget to send entries of what Ophi needs to do against Bleu in her big battle for the city of Gouda!
And for the first time, we have our Mushminion tier voted extra pic!
With a victory of 50%
