The rabbit mainland is a densely populated island with little opportunity for the young. Like many of her age, Ophelia had to set out early in order look for an opportunity to make a living for herself, but after months of travel, she was still nowhere near a solution to her plight. She didn’t have the smarts to be a tinkerer or a trader, or the skills to be a smithy.
Feeling like the world had turned its back on her, Ophi set out for the city of Gouda, capital of the traders guild, in the outermost island of Lucernia. A cold inhospitable land that, despite its fame, brought by group after group of curious explorers and scientists, greedy to find out the secrets of the many ruins that island held. In that island she took a loan with the merchant’s guild and managed to open a tavern, and that’s how her story begins.
